There are a few legitimately mentally unstable people here and we still have blocks where you shouldn't walk at night regardless of your race, creed, beliefs etc. I don't count Cubans or Puerto Ricans as non-white, but if you do then that drives those numbers up by metric fuckton. Well the city of Columbia where I am right now was founded as a planned community to be integrated racially and socio-economically. Interracial relationships are pretty common, a lot of people I from my high school are mixed race. I am in a mixed race marriage.
Thing is though, I rarely think about it. For the most part no one cares. We used to live in the city and no one ever batted an eye. We live in a slightly more rural area now and occasionally we get a glance for a second but that's mainly it. I've dated a couple black girls, and plenty of latin girls. Most of my friends either have, or even regularly date interracial. It's not something people particularly care about, and it gets tricky when you have Hispanics who identify as white and others as black. Sure, older people look at it oddly, but it's in a very nulled version of what they grew up with.
It's just how things were when they were kids. Depends what you mean by common. I see interracial couples every day and my next door neighbors are an interracial couple but they make up a small minority of the couples I see. It's definitely common enough that it's not considered unusual or unacceptable.

But the few black persons we have are all married to or dating white persons. Wedding industry professional here, for poor and middle class it is fairly common. Only marriages that I don't see that often at all is where only one partner is Jewish. For the most part, but here and there non religious Jewish guy will marry outside of his faith, as far as Jewish girls I only saw guys converting to Judaism before marrying them.
It's common enough but still the overwhelming majority of people at least as far as I can tell date or marry within the same race.
